Full Description

NC64SE 44 6778 4406.
Situated below a hut circle (NC64SE 43), and adjacent to what was formerly an old water course, there is a well defined turf and heather covered burnt mound. It survives as an oval ring of debris with centre clear, measuring overall 12m east E-W by 9m. The stone debris rises to 1.2m high. A gap in the S side faces old water course; an upright slab 0.35m high stands on east side of gap. Burnt stone is evident where mound has been eroded.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J B) 8 August 1978.
