OS 6"map, (1961)
There are three hut circles (A-C), in deserted township of Ceann-na-caille, now planted over with trees.
'A', on a rise in a forest clearing, is grass and heather-covered. It measures internally 10.5 by 9m and has an entrance from the SE the line of the long axis; the mutilated wall, has a general spread 2.5 to 3m broad and varies in height from 0.1 to 0.8m.
'B' is thickly blanketed with trees but is approx 13m diameter overall; no other details are ascertainable.
'C', just outside the afforestation, is levelled into the top of a low rise. It measures internally an estimated 10m diameter; the wall is ragged and quarried into and in the N arc truncated by a rough track. A 4m gap in the SE indicates an entrance position. Some large stone blocks are evident in the construction of the hut.
Visited by OS (J M) 26 July 1978.
