Full Description
NC60NW 39 6007 0755.
At NC 6007 0755, situated on the north side of Allt a' Choin-duinn, is an unusally large, turf-covered burnt mound. It is horse-shoe-shaped, its open side towards the burn and measures 17m E-W by 12m tranversely with twin pinacles 1.5m high. The content of small burnt stones, blackened earth, and fragments of charcoal is exposed in rabbit burrows and mole-hills. There is no trace of associated hut circles or cultivation.
