Full Description
NC60NW 35 6152 0619.
At NC 6152 0619 on a SE-facing slope, and adjacent to two hut circles (NC60NW 36), is a burnt mound, roughly horseshoe-shaped, and measuring 11m N-S by 7m and 0.9m high. A thick cover of peat and heather overlays it. Its content is not revealed, but its shape, position beside a stream, and close proximity to hut circles leave no doubt as to its classification as a burnt mound.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J B) 20 October 1980.
