Full Description
What may be a shieling-hut, and a head-dyke are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet lviii). What may be an unroofed shieling-hut, within a walled field, is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,000 map (1990).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 4 September 1995
Vertical aerial photography shows the location of several other similar small structures within the dykes and a sub-circular enclosure at NGR 210867 930871 just to the southwest of the roofed building shown on the OS 1st edition map. <1> <2>
