Full Description

NC50SE 54 5774 0407.

At NC 5774 0407, in low lying ground sheltered from the W is an oval stone-walled hut circle, heavily obscured by heather, measuring about 7.5m N-S by 7.0m inside a substantial wall spread from 1.5 - 2.0m. A break of 4.0m in the S arc indicates the entrance. One or two small stony mounds in the immediate vicinity are almost certainly field clearance from contemporary cultivation; also the summit areas of three hillocks nearby, close-cropped in appearance with occasional rickles of stone present, may reflect further associated agriculture.
Surveyed at 1:10,000.
Visited by OS (J M) 1 September 1976.
