NC51NW 26 5134 1763
A burnt mound, set on the edge of a field-system which also includes a hut-circle (NC51NW 23) is situated on a gentle SW-facing slope. The mound lies about 30m SW of the hut-circle. It is kidney-shaped with a central hollow aligned SSW-NNE, and measures 7m WNW-ESE by 5m transversely, standing up to 0.5m high. The hollow, which opens to the SSW, is 2m across the mouth, where a large stone is exposed.
