Full Description

NC51SE 13 5586 1065.

At NC 5586 1065 in an arable field is a large turf-covered hut circle built into a slight, SW-facing slope. It measures 15.0m in diameter within a wall spread to 3.5m with a maximum internal height of 0.4m. The wall has been completely destroyed in the NE. The entrance in the SW has been mutilated and is now 4.5m wide. There is no trace of contemporary cultivation in the area.

This large hut-circle is situated on a low rise 30m W of the road. It measures 15m in internal diameter over a wall of 2.5m in thickness, standing up to 0.6m in height. There are broad gaps in the wall to WSW and ENE, but neither are necessarily original. Outer facing-stones survive to the N.
