At NC 2325 5617 beside a small burn is a burnt mound. Heather-covered, it measures 7m NW-SE by 6m and 0.8m mean height; it has a slight horseshoe shape, opening on to the burn. Where eroded, the content of the mound is revealed as earth and friable stones; charcoal also occurs but it may be the result of later heather burning. Surveyed at 1:2500.
