Full Description

NC36NE 45 3801 6740.

Exposed within a sand dune is a shell midden comprising two small heaps of shells just protruding above the sand. Each heap is about 3 m across and they are 10m apart; scattered shells lie between them. They comprise limpet, mussel and winkle shells; in the SW heap the winkles are clearly heaped together. Close by, small piles of stones in the sand may be field clearance.
