Full Description
In a sheltered position in rising moorland, is a heather-covered hut circle measuring 6m diameter within a wall reduced to occasional facing-stones and residual rubble core. The entrance is in the S.
One or two stone clearance heaps in the vicinity indicate associated land-use.
Surveyed at 1:2500. Visited by OS (J M) 10 November 1982.
This hut-circle is set on level ground at the foot of a natural scarp. It measures 5.5m in internal diameter, and its wall has been reduced to a peat and heather-covered bank 1.6m in thickness and up to 0.4m in height. The entrance is on the S. Several probable facing-stones are visible, including one slab of the outer face some 0.5m high on the W side of the entrance.
