Full Description
NH79NW 4 7300 9867.
At NH 7300 9867, on a rise on a S-facing hillside, and separated from NH79NW 10 by a wet gully, are two stone-walled huts (A and B) with a few stone clearance heaps in the vicinity, probably from contemporary plots. Hut 'A' is circular measuring c. 10.0m in diameter between wall centres, but is too reduced for the wall thickness to be determined. An upright block in the wall on the S side probably indicates the entrance.
'B' is oval, measuring c.9.0m NW-SE by c.6.5m between the approx centres of a wall of indeterminate width. A gap in the SE incorporating an earth-fast boulder on the S side may be the entrance.
Visited by OS (R L) 11 November 1969.
Surveyed at 1/10 560.
Visited by OS (J B) 21 May 1975.
