Full Description

NH89NW 4 8011 9935 and 8010 9937

Two small cairns lie in open moorland, void of heather at this spot. The cairns, composed of earth and stone, measure 5m by 3.5m and 6m by 5.0m respectively; each is 0.8m high. They are possibly field clearance heaps.
Resurveyed at 1:2500. Visited by OS (R B) 3 February 1966.

These mounds are field clearance heaps, probably modern and associated with adjacent early modern strip cultivation.
