A heavily mutilated turf and heather-covered cairn, approx 12m in diameter and 0.9m high.
Visited by OS (A A) 22 March 1965.
Cairn (NR) OS 1:10,000 map, (1979)
No change. Visited by OS (J M) 19 October 1982.
This cairn is situated on leading edge of a peat-covered terrace on E side of valley of the Burn of Houstry, and commands extensive views from the NW to the SW. The cairn, which measures 13m in diameter by 0.9m in height, is grass and heather grown, but stone is visible protruding through most of its surface, and also where it has been dug into on the W and E. A square-based marker cairn some 1.3m in height has been built on the summit of the cairn, and a small pen or shelter has been constructed in the disturbance on the NE.
