Full Description
NC60NW 40 6454 0512.
At NC 6454 0512, situated adjacent to River Fleet, is a roughly oval burnt mound. Turf and heather-covered, hollowed in centre, it measures 12.5m E-W by 10m and up to 1.2m high at the higher E end. Surface examination of the mound produced contents of black earth, friable stones and fragments of charcoal. A hut circle is close by to the N. (NC60NW 41).
