Full Description

NC56SE 12 5800 6053.

NC 580 605. Possible Cairn, 14m by 21m and about 1-1.5m high, under about 0.13m of soil and a large quantity of stone clearance. Information contained in letter from T C Welsh to OS 23 July 1973

A prominent oval knoll strewn with small angular stones.
T C Welsh 1973

NC 5800 6053. This is not a cairn but an oval mound with its longer axis extending down a fairly steep slope. It is unclear whether stone clearance has been added to an existing natural rise, or whether the mound is entirely a result of clearance.
Visited by OS (NKB) 10 October 1978
