Full Description
NC73SW 22 7393 3188.
At NC 7393 3188, situated beside an old dried up water course and adjacent to a settlement of hut circles (NR73SW 5), is a heather and peat-covered burnt mound. The mound has a slight depression in the S and giving it a 'U' shape. Overall it measures 10.0m W-E by 8.0m with an external height of up to 1.1m in the W, with the E side rather indistinct. A trial dig revealed a content of burnt stones and blackened earth.
