Full Description
NC73SW 15 7018 3463.
At NC 7018 3463 within an area of lazybeds, is a turf and heather-covered oval burnt mound, measuring 8.0m SE-NW by 6.0m and 1.0m high. A trial dig revealed contents of friable stones and charcoal. The mound lies below Hut Circle 'A' of NC73SW 3, and adjacent to an old water course. One of the furrows of the lazybeds bends slightly to skirt the base of the mound.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J B) 6 April 1977.
