Full Description

An oval stone-wall hut circle within a contemporary field system was discovered during field investigation in rising moorland open to the south.
The hut, though completely over-grown, is well-defined and measures 10.0m NW-SE by 7.5m internally; the wall is reduced to a low spread of rubble 2.5m wide, expanding at the entrance in the SE. The field system measures 300m E-W by 100m N-S and consists of field clearance heaps and occasional lynchets. No cultivation plots are discernible.
Surveyed at 1:10,560.
Visited by OS (J M) 16 March 1976.
