Full Description

NC71SE 30 7987 1376 and 7991 1374.

Centred NC 798137. Two stone-walled hut-circles ('A' and 'B') were found during field investigation in rising moorland open to the SW.
'A', (NC 7987 1376) slightly built up on the slope near the top of a rise, is 8.5m in diameter within a wall which survives as a low overgrown band of rubble spread to 2.5m, but expanding to 3.5m at the entrance in the SE.
'B', (NC 7991 1374) set on a change of slope, survives as a platform about 13.5m diameter with obscured traces of walling on the rim; the entrance is not evident.
Contemporary cultivation is indicated by some stone clearance heaps on the hill-slope immediately to the SW, but cultivation plots are not discernible.
Surveyed at 1:10,560.
Visited by OS (J M) 18 December 1975.
