Situated on a SE facing moderate hillslope at an altitude of 175m = 206m OD in rough pasture.

On the lower south-easterly slopes of a hill are the remains of shielings, hut circles (See NC71NW 1) and a cairn.
Visited by OS (E G C) 27 July 1961.
The published features are footings of eight or more shieling bothies ranging from circular, 3.5m in diameter, to sub-oval, 7.0m by 5.0m. Revised at 1:10,000.
