Full Description

NC71NE 27 780 159.

('A': NC 7797 1597 + 'B': NC 7800 1603) Two simple oval stone-walled hut-circles, overgrown and moderately preserved, situated on a SW-facing hillside and shown but not named on the OS 6"map (1963).
'A' is slightly scooped out of the bottom of a slope and measures 10m NW-SE by 9m inside a wall spread to 2.5m. The entrance is in the SE.
'B' is prominently set on a knoll and measures 12m N-S by 10m inside a wall spread to 3m with an entrance in the south. The smooth appearance of the ground and general lack of stone in the immediate vicinity is almost certainly indicative of associated cultivation, but no plots are discernible.
Hut 'A' - Resurveyed at 1:10 560, Hut 'B' - Revised at 1/10,000.
Visited by OS (J M) 10 December 1975.
