NC71NE 26 787 152.

Centred NC 787 152. A settlement of three stone-walled hut circles (A-C), found during field investigation on the lower slopes of a SW-facing hill-side. The huts are of simple form, overgrown and poorly preserved.
'A'. NC 7877 1522, on a natural shelf, remains as a low platform, 9.5m NW-SE by 8.5m, partially destroyed in the east. Traces of a break in the hut base in the SE may indicate an entrance.
'B'. NC 7875 1519, lightly scooped out of the slope is best defined in the built up south half; otherwise only fragmentary walling survives. The overall diameter is approximately 14.0m and there was possibly an entrance from the south.
C: NC 7874 1517, levelled into the slope, is 9.0m NW-SE by 8.0m inside a wall partly eroded away on the SE, and elsewhere spread to 3.0m; some slabs of the inner face of wall show in the NW. There is a probable entrance in the SE.
One or two overgrown stone clearance heaps nearby denote contemporary agriculture, but cultivation plots are not discernible. There are occasional old field walls in the immediate vicinity of the settlement, of which one crossing hut 'C' is undoubtedly associated with the 18th /19th century abandoned settlement to the south; the period of the others is less certain.
