NC75NW 82 7073 5741.

Centred at NC 707 574, on SE-facing, heather-clad, and in places, stony hillside, are two structures, one circular, the other rectangular, together with an area of scattered field clearance heaps to the N. The circular feature at NC 7074 5741 measures about 5.5m in internal diameter within a peat and heather-covered wall 2/3 spread to 1.5m and 0.3m high. No entrance is visible, the wall appearing to be unbroken. The feature is possibly a hut circle, but the lack of entrance and relative slightness of the wall throws some doubt on this supposition. The rectangular feature at NC 7070 5740 is overgrown with peat to the same degree as the circle to the E. It measures approx 10m E-W by 3.7m internally; the interior is considerably choked with stones. The wall is 1.3m wide and averages 0.4m high, and is constructed of slabs on edge, in the manner of a hut circle. No levelling has occured, the footing following the slope, The position of the entrance appears to be on the short east side.
The scattered clearance heaps cover approximately three hectares being most concentrated around the features described above. The E edge of the cleared area is marked by linear clearance. No measurable field plots are visible.
From the generally uniform level of peat cover on all features it may be that they are roughly contemporary.
