Full Description

NC74NW 11 7260 4816.

At NC 7260 4816, on a north west facing hillslope, are the remains of a very obscure hut circle. It measures about 13m in diameter within a partially peat covered, low, stone wall spread to 2m. A vague gap in the north north west may indicate the entrance. A later sub-rectangular enclsoure has been constructed within the hut. Its wall either overlies or defaces the hut wall in the north and east. There is no sign of cultivation normally associated with hut circles in the vicinity. A burnt mound (NC74NW 12) lies close by to the west.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J B) 21 July 1977.
