Full Description

NC75SW 39 7251 5148.

At NC 7251 5148, on haugh E of River Naver in neighbourhood of an abandoned 18th/19th century township, is a burnt mound, turf-covered and shrouded by bracken. It measures 16.0m N-S by 9.0m transversely by 1.0m high; erosion exposes blackened earth and fragments of heat-stained, friable stone.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J M) 9 July 1977.
