Full Description

NC75SW 23 7292 5474.

At NC 7292 5474, on the north bank of a stream at the edge of a field system (NC75SW 25), is a crescentic burnt mound. It is 10m across the open south side and 7.5m transversely, and is about 1m high; erosion of the heather overgrowth reveals a mixture of blackened earth and heat-stained, friable fragments of stone.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J M) 12 July 1977.
