Full Description

At ND 1028 2867 and ND 1021 2863, set into a SE-facing slope in open moorland, are two hut circles (A and B) measuring internally 8 and 7m diameter respectively. In each case the wall is heather-covered, 0.5m high, and generally spread to 2m but in 'A', the wall wident to 3 or 4m from the S side of the entrance in the SE around the SW arc, and the wall of 'B' widens to 3m on each side of the entrance, which is also in the SE. A modern drainage ditch has cut through the wall of 'B' just N of the entrance, revealing its rubble stone content. There is no clear evidence of associated cultivation.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (N K B) 15 November 1982.
