Full Description
NC73NE 9 7819 3567.
At NC 7819 3567, in low lying dampish ground just outwith the west edge of a field system (NC73NE 1), is a burnt mound. It is 10.0m diameter by 1.2m high and has a deep crescentic depression opening out of the south side; animal scrapes in an otherwise heather-clad exterior reveal blackened earth and pieces of heat-fragmented stone.
Surveyed at 1:10,560. Visited by OS (J M) 16 February 1977.
