Riasg (NAT) OS 6"map, (1962)

The depopulated township of Riasg enclosed by a boundary wall on the W and N sides, is about 28 hectares in area. It comprises twelve buildings, varying in size from 5m by 3m to 34m by 4m, associated with walled vegetable plots and two corn-drying kilns. Some of the enclosed ground shows traces of run-rig cultivation.
Revised at 1/10,000. Visited by OS (J B) 7 March 1977.

A township comprising five unroofed buildings, four of which are long buildings and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1879, sheet lxv). Fourteen unroofed buildings, eight enclosures and a head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1962)
