Full Description
NC75NW 59 7404 5770.
At NC 7404 5770 beside the Clachan Burn is a U shaped burnt mound measuring 9.5m north south by 9.0m with a maximum height of 1.2m. A trial dig revealed friable stones. A considerable number of large unburnt stones lie on the rim of the mound. In the centre there is a prone unburnt boulder. The origin and purpose of these stones is unknown.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J B) 1 September 1977.
