Full Description

Field System (NR) OS 1:2500 map, (1968)

The field system is only evident in several heaps of stone clearance associated with a newly located hut circle at NC 7362 0482. The hut, against the foot of a rise, measures some 15 x 12m ithin a much spread wall the entrance position is in SE on the line of the long axis.
Surveyed at 1:2500. Visited by OS (J M) 11 March 1981.

This hut-circle, which is situated on a heather-covered terrace, is oval on plan and measures 14.8m from WNW to ESE by 13.9m transversely within a rubble wall 2.3m thick and about 0.25m high, with an entrance on ESE. A pit has been dug into the interior, and the rear (WNW) arc has been levelled into the slope. There is a scatter of small cairns around the hut-circle.
