On top of a large, whin-covered, stony mound is a short cist, aligned NE-SW and measuring 1m long by 0.7m wide and 0.5m deep. Immediately to S lies its probable cap-stone, measuring 1.5m long by 1m wide at its broadest end tapering to 0.2m and 0.3m thick. The mound is probably natural, measures 24m NW-SE by 20m transversely, and situated at SW side of flood plain of River Fleet, on a stretch of flat pasture land, immediately below steep sloping ground to SW. The present whereabouts of the bronze spearhead could not be traced.
