Full Description
A good example of a corn-drying kiln, situated some 450m NW of the deserted township of Scalabsdale.
Visited by OS (WDJ) 20 May 1960.
A single unroofed structure, which may be the corn-drying kiln is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1879, sheet lxxviii). An unroofed circular structure is shown at this location on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1963).
