At NC 7304 0557, on the south bank of Garbh-allt, is a burnt mound. It measures 10 by 8m across and 1m high and is depressed in the E side, the line of the main axis. Erosion of the heather cover reveals friable and reddened fragments of stone.
Surveyed at 1:10 000. Visited by OS (J M) 30 April 1981.
This U-shaped burnt mound is set well above the current water level on the S bank of the Garbh-allt. It measures 10.3m from E to W by 7.8m transversely and 1m in height, opening out to the N. The mound may have been eroded by the burn on the N where there is an exposure of cracked stone set in a matrix of black soil.
