Full Description
NC71SE 45 7981 1201.
Situated in a prominent position on the end of a spur is a mound, overgrown with peat, measuring about 10.5m in diameter and 2m high. Though superficially resembling a cairn, it does not exhibit a true bowl-shape and there is no trace of a retaining kerb. Nevertheless it appears man-made, and it may be an isolated clearance heap.
Visited by OS (JM) 4 December 1976.
