NC56NW 2 538 652.
A 'Colby' camp, similar to that at Creach Bheinn (NM85NE 2), but smaller, being limited by the size of the saddle it occupies, is situated beside the primary triangulation pillar on Ben Hutig. It is distinguished by having a flight of steps from the camp to the pillar. Inf: Mr F Bellamy, Superintendent Geodetic Control, Ordnance survey, November 1971.
The remains of two square stone buildings plus two broad drystone dykes forming a shelter area between them. Lower building with wall 3ft wide, upper building near Trig Point. Probably the remains of a shelter built and used by an Ordnance Survey Team in the 19th century, surveying the area.
