OS 6"map, (1963)
Two hut-circles discovered during field investigation on a gentle south-sloping hillside and consisting of stone banks now more or less turf-covered.
'A' measures 12m N-S by 11m and consists of a bank, 1.9m wide and 0.4m high, with an entrance about 1.1m wide in the south. A mutilated turf mound with large stones on top, which lies immediately south of the hut, appears to be natural.
'B' is well-defined, scooped into the slope on the north and built up on the south to a height of 1.5m. It measures 10.7m in diameter and consists of a bank, 4.6m wide and 0.6m high, with an entrance 1m wide in the SE. A mutilated mound of stones a few metres to the south is probably a stone clearance heap whose centre has been cleared.
Visited by OS (W D J) 15 July 1961.
Two stone-walled hut circles now so mutilated by ploughing and afforestation that details are no longer obtainable. No evidence of contemporary cultivation can be seen.
Revised at 1/10,000.
Visited by OS (J M) 25 November 1975.
