ND01NW 65 0000 1816 to 0080 1768.
(ND 0000 1816 - ND 0080 1768) Old Road (NAT) (course of).
OS 6" map, (1964)
The course of the old road preceding the modern road can be traced as a shallow depression about 3.0m wide and 0.2m deep; metalling is visible in places. At ND 0078 1770 it bifurcates, the N part keeping to the high ground, and the S part descending to lower ground by way of a holloway. Beyond this point, to the E, the course of the road is uncertain, but probably soon rejoined the present course of the road.
