EHG5965 - DBA and assessment - proposed energy storage scheme, Boat of Garten
Technique(s)
Organisation
Greencat Renewables Ltd
Date
2021-2022
Description
A desk-based assessment was undertaken by Greencat Renewables in 2021-22 to assess the potential impacts of a proposed energy storage facility at Boat of Garten. It was found that there were no known feature of historical significance within the footprint of the proposed development. Therefore, there would be no direct impacts on known features, and while there may be impact on unknown features this was considered unlikely. Given the nature of the development direct impacts on buried and unknown features would be highly unlikely. Four features of historical significance were found to lie within 5km (2km for ‘B’ Listed Buildings) of the proposed
energy storage project that would have potential visibility of the development. Given the presence of woodland and the low-lying nature of the development, views will be largely screened. <1>
