EHG5497 - Watching brief - Cairnside, Culloden

An archaeological watching brief was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2019 at land to the northeast of Cairnside, Westhill, Inverness in advance of the construction of a shed for agricultural and storage use with associated hardstanding. The work followed an initial metal-detecting survey (see EHG5496). The watching brief was carried out during topsoil stripping over the whole development site and during the excavation of a cable trench. No sub-surface features were present within the site. No further archaeological works were recommended. <1>
