Description

An archaeological evaluation was carried out by Headland Archaeology in 1999 in advance of the construction of housing near Oldwick, Caithness. A total of twenty trenches were excavated covering four percent of the proposed development. A number of recent field drains were identified along with a stone built culvert, some ambiguous features and evidence of recent agricultural activity. None of there features were thought to be archaeologically significant. No further archaeological work was recommended. <1> <2> <3> <4> <5>
