Description
October 2009: Further to an initial assessment in February 2009, a watching brief was maintained during the excavation of nine small trenches to provide concrete footings for a stair leading to the motte’s upper level (NH 5302 2856). These new trenches revealed nothing of archaeological significance. <1>
