Jacobs Engineering UK Ltd has been commissioned by Scottish Water Solutions to undertaken an archaeological and built heritage desk-based assessment of the potential impacts of the construction of a mains water pipeline extending from the south of Tongue House, Tongue (NGR: NC 5950 5820) across the Kyle and northwards to the reservoir at Melness (NGR: NC 5950 5750) a distance of approximately 8km. <1>
